Our Home - Our Future

A Capital and Endowment Campaign
for Congregation Beth Ahm

…My house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.  – Isaiah 56:7

Our Home…
Congregation Beth Abraham had its beginnings in a private home in the late 1800’s. A home is the place where generations join with one another to learn, to welcome others, to engage in Jewish ritual and prayer. This identity as been a part of our heritage since the very beginning and continues to this day. Two mergers in the 1970’s — first with Congregation Beth Hillel and then Congregation Beth Moses – reflect our synagogue’s commitment to being a house of prayer for all people. From those early days until now, this is what it means to belong to Congregation Beth Ahm.  We are proud to be a congregation known for our warmth and welcoming spirit, for being a haven and a home.

...Our Future
Beth Ahm will continue its legacy of being a “people place”, a congregation where children, their parents and their extended families have a spiritual home. We embrace the Jewish singles in our midst and are grateful for the active presence of senior members.  Every home needs to be provided for. It merits regular maintenance of the building and the educational and religious programs that come alive within its walls every week.

We have embarked upon a Campaign that will ensure continued service to our members and to future generations.  This service is being realized through strengthened programming, the completion of necessary repairs and desired renovations, and the elimination of the Congregation’s debt.

To fulfill this mission, we will need your support and that of every member of our synagogue family. We will count on your donations large and small, your pledges of support now and in the months to come. Together we will strengthen our home and our future, perpetuating the dream born so long ago.

The successful completion of the Our Home – Our Future Campaign will strengthen our synagogue today and in the years to come. Through worship, assembly and study, a synagogue becomes a home. So it has been with Congregation Beth Ahm since 1892 and with your generous and righteous giving, so it will continue to be.

How You Can Participate
Since the destruction of the Holy Temple, we have understood that Judaism, if it is to survive, must be kept alive in the home. We are blessed in this country to be able to perpetuate Judaism within our own homes and within the home that is our synagogue.  By contributing to Our Home – Our Future you will help Beth Ahm sustain current programs and worship services while designing new initiatives to meet future needs.

We will work closely with you to identify a gift that is meaningful to you and meets the needs of the synagogue.  There are many opportunities to make a meaningful difference in synagogue life, including: capital opportunities, family and youth programs, special services for those in need, scholarships, continuing education, senior services, and many more.
