MARCH 13 – “Jewish Argument, Then and Now” – we will videostream a lecture by British historian Sir Simon Schama which he delivered at the B’nai B’rith World Center in Jerusalem last December.


MARCH 20 – “Nachmanides and the Value of Compromise” – DVD of lecture by Prof. Howard Lupovitch, presented at Beth Ahm last July as part 2 of his series “My Jewish Mount Rushmore”

MARCH 27 - “Tides of Change: Israel’s Elections and What They Mean for Israeli Jewish Identity” – A Shalom Hartman Institute webinar (originally produced on Feb. 27) featuring Hartman Bay Area Scholar in Residence Tomer Persico in conversation with Rabbi Carla Fenves of Cong. Emanu-El in San Francisco. Their discussion will focus on how the upcoming Israeli elections signal changes in Israeli Jewish identity today and how this affects American Jewish engagement with Israel.


APRIL 3 - “Nationalism, Marginalization, and Jewish Peoplehood” – A webinar featuring a conversation between scholars Yehuda Kurtzer and Micah Goodman, produced by the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem (originally presented on March 6), as part of the annual David Hartman Memorial Conference for a Jewish and Democratic Israel.

APRIL 10 – “An Interview with the Broadway Producer of ‘The Band’s Visit’” – Rabbi Mark Golub of JBS (Jewish Broadcasting Service) interview Broadway producer Orin Wolf about Wolf’s Jewish background growing up in Cleveland, his love for Israel, his philosophy of theater, and the story behind his creating “The Band’s Visit,” the Tony-award winning “Best Musical” of 2018.
