Everyone is invited to join Rabbi Rubenstein for a lunch & learn series utilizing the Food for Thought curriculum developed by Hazon.
Do you know where your food comes from? We are learning that there are social, environmental, cultural, and health reasons for eating food that is grown near to where we live. But it is not only our food’s relationship to place that is interesting, but also our own.
Jews have two different stories about place: we have lived in nearly every country in the world, but our tradition is focused on the Land of Israel. How does the way we relate to food in our own lives illustrate, clarify and complicate our relationship with food and place?
